I was owning this look way before Scarlett Johansson. I think her Lost In Translation opening credits scene was probably the peak of her career. Granted, my being able to read at such a young age (two years before this photo was even taken) was probably the peak of my intellectual abilities, as well. Now I just read stuff written for twelve-year-olds. (Ooh, check out Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins.)
These were the days that I would spend quality time with my brother reading to him. Which brings two thoughts to mind, 1.) when did our quality time shift to me encouraging him to injure himself, and 2.) if I walked in on my six-year-old quietly reading a storybook to my two-year-old I would pinch myself.
